Westmoreland is a historic community located approximately 3.5 miles southeast of Portland’s city center. It is flanked by the Willamette River to the west, Sellwood to the south, Eastmoreland to the east and Brooklyn to the north.
One of the many things that make Westmoreland unique is the wide variety of restaurants, parks, shops and activities that are within its boundaries and that are so easily accessible to its residents. That, coupled with the fact that it is also very close to major arterials and public transportation, makes Westmoreland a destination location.
Living in Westmoreland means that you can enjoy some of the best restaurants in the Portland Metro area, stroll through some of the city’s best antique shops on Antique Row, cruise along the bluff to enjoy breathtaking views of the river and the skyline and play one of the best golf courses in the area all within just blocks from your door! All of that plus you can be downtown Portland in just minutes!
Many of the residential areas in Westmoreland are comprised of traditional architecture and cottage-style homes that were constructed in the early 1900s. However, some of the newer developments in both the residential and commercial sectors feature contemporary designs and structures which add to the eclectic style and feel of the community.
